LAHORE, FEB 16 (MAMOSA Report) — Pakistan on Saturday broke record set by Bangladesh earlier of forming the largest human flag with over 29,000 Lahoriites at the National Hockey Stadium here.

Last year, Bangladesh broke Pakistan’s record after over 27,000 Bangladeshis gathered to form the Bangladeshi flag on December 16, 2013, the day that is observed as Fall of Dhaka Day in Pakistan and ‘Victory Day’ in Bangladesh.

The record attempts are part of the Punjab Youth Festival. It was recognized by Guinness Book of World Records representatives who witnessed the record-breaking event.

The Punjab sports minister said 150,000 people would also attempt the record for the national anthem on February 19.

The ongoing event is being organized under the management of Punjab Youth Festival.
