NEW DELHI — In the wake of growing incidents of mob-lynching in the country, Jamiat Ulema-i-Hind (M) has announced to hold Aman and Ekta Sammelan (Peace & Unity Conference) in the national capital on August 4 with the aim of putting across the message of love and harmony to fellow countrymen.
Jamiat has invited Hindu and other religious leaders for the conference in the hope that they will ponder over this issue and how it can be tackled.
Jamiat has taken this decision at its consultative meeting on Thursday, which noted that a section in the community has been becoming restive due to an increase in mob-lynching incidents after the re-election of this government.
Putting forth their views, many members of the consultative council of the Jamiat said that in such a situation, Jamiat needs to play a pro-active role to calm the rising nerves of the youths.
Jamiat leaders also slammed the forces of hatred for spreading falsehood and hatred in the society for petty political gains.
