RANCHI (JHARKHAND) – The menace of mob lynching that began with brazen political support in the name of cow seems to have taken a dangerous proportion now as people are being killed by mobs over different issues. The latest incident of lynching took place in Palamu district of Jharkhand where a mob brutally assaulted three persons from the Scheduled Caste community over a rumour of theft.
While one Bablu Mushar died at hospital, two others seriously wounded Guddu Mushar and Vikas Mushar are being treated.
An FIR was lodged against 21 named accused on 6th Sep. Reports say eight of them have been arrested.
The incident took place at the village Tisibar under the Pardu Police Station in Palamu district of Jharkhand on Wednesday (5th September).
As per FIR, the incident took place about 8 kms from the nearest police station. When the mob was assaulting the people, police reached the spot but the mob attacked the police team also.
