AGRA — The Hindu Yuva Vahini (HYV), founded by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has announced a bounty of rupees one crore for beheading former cricketer and Punjab’s cabinet minister Navjot Singh Sidhu for allegedly abusing Yogi during a rally in Rajasthan.
Announcing the bounty, HYV’s president of Agra unit, Tarun Singh said that he would chop Sidhu into pieces if he visits Agra as Sidhu had given a statement against UP CM in the rally which was ‘objectionable’, Times of India reported. HYV also burnt Sidhu’s effigy here on Tuesday.
During an election rally in Ramganj Mandi, Rajasthan on Sunday, Sidhu had said that BJP was not faithful to the people of the nation and that “even chowkidar’s (referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi) dog is not loyal. He is also a chor (thief). And, Yogi is the biggest ‘bhogi (one who indulges in worldly pleasures).”
Tarun also targeted Sidhu over his recent trip to Pakistan for the opening of the Kartarpur Sahib corridor and over his connections with the neighbouring country. “Either Sidhu should go to Pakistan or we will not let him live in India in these circumstances,” Tarun said.
